Making the move to Canon
Since December 2008 I've been using an Olympus E-420 to accompany me on my journey into the world of photography. The camera itself is good at capturing images but a few things have just never sat right with me. I found the interface quite clunky and found the autofocus so infuriatingly slow and unreliable.
After much deliberation I finally decided to take the plunge and bought a Canon EOS 1000D. 5 days after buying I'm not regretting a thing. The camera is better all round and allows me to achieve the shots I want. Since then I've bought a 50mm f1.8 lens and it just gets better and better.
Looking to the future, it's the best move I've made. After hearing so much about Canon cameras, I was going to get one eventually. Doing so now means I can buy more lenses and accessories knowing in the future, when I want to upgrade, I'll only need to buy the body.
I'd highly recommend making the switch if you haven't already.
