Outsiders by Steve Lazarides
This Christmas my older brother bought me Outsiders by Steve Lazarides. As soon as I opened it, I did wonder what the book was, at a first glance the cover is a bit ambiguous. Ben quickly noticed my confused look and said that I could exchange it if I didn't like it but after a closer look I was sure I would like it.
The book is an amazing mixture of ideas and creativity with a variety of different methods from artists all around the world. At this moment in time, I'm looking to branch out into different ways to create work, from drawing with inks, pencils, charcoal etc to print making. This book is 200+ pages of inspiration which couldn't have arrived at a better time.
I've not read it yet but just flicking through the pages and seeing the work that people are doing makes me want to drop everything and start throwing some paint around.
