Ugh... New Year

I love the run up to Christmas. I like seeing the decorations up, lights everywhere brightening up the dark Winter evenings, the tunes, the films! All this fun stuff that sort of takes your mind off the fact that it's cold and miserable outside.

I think this is why I'm not a fan of New Year and January in general. All the decorations come down so everything becomes a bit less fun, outside is once again dull, grey and wet (mostly). There's nothing to do except hunker down for the next couple of months until the Sun starts to appear higher in the sky.

Summer seems so far away...
