Week notes #17

This last week we've got somewhere closer to Summer weather again which has been quite nice, though as I write this, we're melting slightly in the 26ºC evening muggy weather.

The result...

Last week, I mentioned we had to take the COVID-19 test, which was pretty unpleasant, but thankfully the result came back negative so that's good.

The reading...

I've mentioned a few times that I've been making my way through the tome that is Bone by Jeff Smith.

I finished the book last night, plowing through the last 300 pages in one evening. It was a brilliant read with a really great story and characters going on a pretty epic adventure.

After about a month reading the same graphic novel, I'm looking forward to moving on to other books, I've yet to decide which I'll read next.

The comic...

I continue to make progress with Chapter 4, though as I write the script, I keep thinking of different ways of making my way to the end of the story so things are slower than I'd like but I'll have that finished this week.

Chapter 2 has been signed off by my editor so that's good to go. I've got next week off work so I'm going to try find some decent chunks of time to start transferring the roughs over to full-scale artwork. Optimistically, I'll get it all done but I think realistically, getting 20+ pages of artwork penciled in the space of a week among our other plans and general parenting is probably not gonna happen.

The break...

As I said, I've got next week off work so I may take a week off from week notes but I'll see how I feel in 7 days time.
