Be the river, not the rock

I came across this great video of illustrator Oliver Jeffers talking through 15 things to think about when it comes to a creative career. His point about being flexible, particularly with rejection resonated with me.

I haven't historically done pitches so haven't really had to deal with rejection but I'm sometimes my own worst enemy and can become an obstacle to myself. One thing I'm trying to learn at the moment is finding ways to tackle obstacles and move passed them, like the flow of water around the rocks in a river.
