Week notes #1
This has largely been an uneventful week. I'm still in redundancy limbo at work not knowing for certain whether I'm going to be made redundant or not but kind of already know that's gonna be the case. I don't plan on posting details publicly but over the coming weeks I may post a birds eye level view of progress for posterity.
I bought a copy of Mindful Design by Scott Riley which I've only just started to read but so far is excellent and I'd already recommend it to anyone.
I've started to pencil up a comic I'm working on for Little Heroes Comics (please consider supporting their Kickstarter) but I need to plan some proper time in throughout the week where I can get my head down and really make progress.
Lu spent the weekend in London so the boy and I have had a boy's weekend. We visited a former colleague of mine for a catch-up which was great and we spent Saturday night in bed watching Spirited Away, which we've not seen for quite a while.
The other day I was thinking about other things worth sharing in this weekly update and I figured as I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts and reading articles/watching videos in Pocket, I thought it might be good to pick out a few things I found interesting. I might not do this every week, but will do so when I get time to.
- The Late Night Centenary Special - Given the tumultuous week in UK politics, I thought I'd give Brexitcast a try to see if I can make sense of what's going on.
- Design Matters - interview with Jamie Myrold
